    Does he have a brushcut? I just want to reach over and rub the hair on the back of his (or her?) neck. Excellent shot!

    Thanks Skylark. Actually I think all worker bees are female. Apparently the males, called (fittingly) drones, just hang around the hive in case they are needed to have sex with the queen. After which they die. But they die happy.

    That is absolutely amazing. It’s the caliber of photograph I’d expect to see in National Geographic or something.

    Zoom, thank you. You’re too kind. Here is my secret:

    1. Point camera at bee
    2. Click shutter
    3. Repeat 649 times and hope a few of them are ok :)
