Here’s one of those little inukshuks that someone has put up down at Dow’s Lake. This one is very top-heavy, so it has to be carefully balanced to stay standing.

We saw a deer by the side of the canal. I know people in Kanata have them in their back yards all the time, but it’s thrilling for me to see one in the city. I hope it makes it back home ok.

At Hog’s Back a bunch of guys were riding the falls in bright coloured kayaks. Then they’d walk up the hill and ride them down again.

Here’s Judy looking down at the rapids.

Some squinty guy on the Somerset footbridge.

On the way home we came upon a demonstration on Somerset. Syrians want what Libya wants and what Egypt got, and I hope they can get it too. This fresh-faced young man gave me a rose.

It was a perfect spring day for a bike ride. All for now!

While some here decry the cost of another election we should look to the middle east right now to remember why these things are so important. Millions in this world would love the chance to change a government by casting a vote rather than spilling blood.
We are just lucky that the blood spilling for us was done years and years ago so our choices now can be made peacefully.
Yes.
