I like the picture and the doggie, but I don&#8217;t really like the way they&#8217;ve redesigned the streetscape in Westboro. I think they&#8217;re probably going to use the same model for Bank Street in Centretown and the Glebe, and that&#8217;s a shame.</p><p>The problem is that they&#8217;ve made the sidewalks too wide at the expense of bike lanes. There&#8217;s really no place for bikes on the street in Westboro. It&#8217;s nerve-wracking to ride there, having to share the shoulder with parked cars while pedestrians could walk 10 abreast if they wanted to. (Trust me, they don&#8217;t want to.)</p><p>It&#8217;s a botched design. Whoever is responsible for it should try riding a bike sometime.</p><p>PS: This post is called Antiques, although it has nothing to do with antiques, because the word &#8220;Antiques&#8221; appears in the picture.</p><p>I always do that.
