Go global warming!

I like these pictures because they are so confusing. You can clearly see my reflection so they are almost self-portraits. Then there is the glare and streaking of the glass and the strange top-down perspective, plus all the computers and other junk that also gets reflected in the glass.

Maybe only the person who took a picture like this is actually going to like it. ;)

This is looking west down Carling. I like the sky.

This is a message in the entrance to the garage across the street. I see this six times a day or more as I wander past this window. Each time I see it I subconsciously read it as POTSON NOSTOP. I used to wonder if it meant “No! Stop!” or “No stopping,” which would have opposite meanings, but now I don’t even care. If it ever had any meaning it doesn’t any more. It has called out its confusing message once too often.

Here is Bronson and Carling in full rush-hour mode. They look like Hot Wheels from up here.

After work I walked over to Bank Street on Glebe Ave and then home up Bank. Here are some pictures of a deserted Glebe Collegiate.

On Bank Street I noticed they have closed the stairs that go down to this park. I guess it’s because the city can’t clear the ice and they don’t want to get sued. I think it’s a poor effort just to shut everything down when winter comes.

I especially hate it that they don’t even bother to clear the snow off the bike paths. Maybe business guy Mayor Lex Luthor will fix it!

This wonderfully seedy building is on the Centretown side of the Queensway. Galaxy Camera and wedding dresses, and Cinderella Hair Design is in there too. It all adds up!

Tattoo’s [sic] and piercings. Or you could get your watch fixed. The tattoo place has an apostrophe problem, and I think the shoe store does too.

I like how those two guys are both taking off at the same time. So long!

Shoes. I could be wrong about the apostrophe problem because I’m not quite sure what they’re trying to say. How many Higgertys are there? Do they all have some shoes they want to sell?

Never mind. Look at that little turret on the roof. It might be fun to go up there with your new shoes on.

Korean food is heavy on barbecued beef marinated in dark soy sauce, rice wine, garlic, and green onions. Yum! And they give you scissors to cut it with. This place is pretty new. I haven’t eaten there yet.

It seems this is the very dollar store where Tori Spelling, TV’s Beverley Hills 90210 has-been, and her Ottawa hubby went shopping. Is she wearing short shorts with cowboy boots? Good lord.

Wilde’s and Sweet Seduction. Once at Christmas time I was walking past these stores and one of them had a real girl in lingerie and a Santa hat sitting in the window. Makes you do a double-take!
