It’s not even eternal; they blow it out for cleaning every now and then. It’s just the Centennial flame on Parliament Hill. People like to stand around it and take each other’s pictures. If you get too close to it you get a blast of gas.

Contrary to popular opinion, that big guy on the right isn’t me.
