Other than that, my computer has been struck by the gruesome Virtumonde trojan. I tried various fixes, but none of them worked, so I’m restoring my C drive from a backup. (I’m posting this from a different computer.)

The backup is only two weeks old. I think that’s pretty good, considering.

This virus replaces your browser’s startup screen with a fake antivirus program, and your screensaver with a fake blue screen of death. And I’m sure that’s not all.

I hope it didn’t mail itself to anybody. If it did, I’m sorry.

What do virus creators get out of this? I don’t know. I hope they will burn in hell for being such assholes. And I hope you will have a happy and virus-free Labour Day.
