href="http://www.robink.ca/blog/spring-is-coming/">Spring is coming. I don’t know when I took it. Sometime last summer.

It’s no prize winner, but I like it. I think the young woman shows a lot of energy, striding into the frame with her head scarf blowing behind her. I also think it’s kind of sexy. Something about the way she’s holding her water bottle.

Lately the Stat Counter page for this blog shows that this picture is being indexed by search engines from all around the world. Mostly Muslim countries, such as Morocco, Egypt, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, and… uh… France.

Here’s what Google looks like if you search for Hijab in Morocco. In Arabic. (Among zillions of other hits, no doubt; but this is the one I get to see.)

Not that this is the only unusual search I get. All blogs attract their share of weird searches. For example, I get a lot of people looking for “True Sex Confessions,” which is not the name of the True Wife Confessions site.

Then there is the ever-popular “auto-fellatio.” I mentioned that unusual practice in a review of the movie Shortbus, on my companion blog Watawa Movies, but I didn’t know the whole world was going to come looking for it.

Same with “Cat fight,” which is mentioned in a review of the Raquel Welch stinker One Million Years B.C. Everybody loves a cat fight. Rrowr!

And for all the people who come here looking for information about the Dion twins… I’m sorry! I was just fooling around! Celine Dion and Stéphane Dion aren’t related. I don’t even know if they’ve ever met.

Anyway, people are welcome to look at the picture of the young woman in the hijab, and they can even repost it if they want to.
