Kowloon now has many more Canadian-style food items than they used to have, such as lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and coffee cream. That’s what’s super about it. Of course they still have countless products in packages you will not understand unless you happen to be Chinese, and they will still bonk a live tilapia on the head and toss it in a bag for your dining pleasure.

This is the fish tank at Kowloon Market.

Kowloon has been greatly upgraded lately, probably to try and compete with the giant T&T Supermarket, and maybe also just to live up to that gorgeous arch.

If you haven’t been in for a while you’ll find it much cleaner and more modern-looking than it used to be. But unless you are Chinese, you still won’t understand what most of the goods are that they have for sale.

Here’s another fish.

The arch is attracting a lot of tourist traffic with people wanting to get their picture taken standing in front of it. Here’s another pic.

Here’s one of the lions. There were three altogether.

The cops escorting the parade were riding on these little ATVs and showing off. I guess that cop in the back was trying to get me to move out of the picture that their photographer wanted to take of the cop in the front.

Too bad! I got my picture. They can be in mine if I can be in theirs, that’s what I always say.

Then I walked back home and snapped a few pics on the way. Here’s a chicken you could buy for $8.99, feet and all.

I think it’s funny how someone has gone around pasting photos of a bald man over top of various things in Chinatown, such as this window painting at the Kowloon Market.

I don’t have any information about this prank. Is it the bald man who is pasting himself onto everything, or is it someone else?

I doubt if it was the bald man himself who drew a cock and balls onto his forehead. Or is that what it is? It’s very misshapen. It must be something else. But what could it be?

Back at home the Sky Pilot came down to play with Clint Eastwood.

Then I took the garbage out, and now I’m thinking of defrosting a few samosas. And that’s about it for my winter Sunday.
