It cost $40 to rent from Thursday to Monday, which is the rate for two days. (The weekend counts as one day.)</p><p>It&#8217;s a Nikon AF-S Micro Nikkor 105 mm 1:2.8 G ED. It has VR (vibration reduction). It&#8217;s not a zoom lens.</p><p>To check it out, I&#8217;ve been taking pictures of small things. But if I got a lens like this I&#8217;d also want to use it as a standard walking-around lens, so I took the pic up above with it.</p><p>From this lens I&#8217;m looking for extreme sharpness and the ability to focus very close. I realize this also requires me to not jiggle the camera. I&#8217;m trying!</p><p>Here&#8217;s a dandelion.</p><p><img
