The drumming was infectious, and I liked the fact that although there was a strong police presence, they were only there to maintain order. There was no whiff of tear gas and no heads were being cracked.</p><p><img
id="image4863" alt=img_9662.jpg src="http://www.robink.ca/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/img_9662.jpg" /></p><p>Sometimes I still feel proud to live in this country, which in some ways really is a peaceable kingdom. It&#8217;s not clear to me how Canada can help with the plight of the Tamils, but I like it that they&#8217;re being given every opportunity to explain their position.</p><p>Here are some more pictures.</p><p><img
