Sometimes I think they look like architectural drawings, and that’s good too. This the the corner of Metcalfe and Albert.

I like the colours bright and I like to see a lot of detail. I’m not satisfied to just see the same amount of detail that you can see by looking at a thing with your eyes. What’s the point of that? So if my pictures look a bit otherwordly, I think that’s great.

Now and then I get a comment from somebody who says they don’t like my pictures because they’re overly processed. Well, duh! I’m all about post-processing. Nobody has to look at them, and you can’t please everybody. That’s what I say.

I like looking at other people’s pictures if they look like the real thing looks. It’s just not what I want to do in mine.

Here’s a guy with a cello (I think). I saw him on the Somerset footbridge. He reminds me of a turtle.

These days I’ve been going around with a wide-angle lens trying to find a new way to look at things. It’s a Sigma 10-20 mm. I was thinking of getting a fisheye — there’s one on Kijiji — but it’s expensive, and I haven’t sprung for it yet. I’m not sure if it would be that much wider than the one I’ve got. I tried to rent one at Vistek to try it out, but somebody broke theirs.

Here are some jerusalem artichokes. No reason except that I like them, and if I don’t post them now I never will.

This is my girl Judy on a street corner over in Gatineau. She’s waiting for the light.
