BOLO
I went to BOLO (Blog Out Loud), an evening of readings. It featured shy introverted bloggers doing standup and flashing their cherry red bras.
I didn’t get any good pictures, but they’re all over the blogosphere. Ya can’t miss ‘em. Try Milan’s blog for starters, or google BOLO Ottawa blog out loud.
Oh and I met Pearl there, after quite a long time of only knowing her through her blogs. Nice meeting you Pearl! Next year I hope you’ll read a poem.
Oscar Peterson
OttawaStart has put up a terrific video about the making of the Oscar Peterson statue, and Coyote has a great pic of Oscar and a bus.
Did you know that it was first carved out of styrofoam, then coated in wax, and then cast in bronze?
My pics of it are here. I still really like it. When I was taking the pics I forgot where I was for a moment, as I became preoccupied with f stops and whatnot, and was startled to look up into Oscar’s friendly amused eyes. It’s that good.
