I think PM Stephen Harper is a fat lying slug. I’d give a lot to get him out of power.

A coalition government would be fine with me, but that weaselly egomaniac Michael Ignatieff has ruled it out, so I guess we’re doomed to a lot more of Harper. Too bad for Canada.

In my local riding, Ottawa Centre, I hope Paul Dewar will win again for the NDP. I think he’s a good guy. I’ll vote for him if I think he might be in trouble, but if it seems like it’s going to be smooth sailing for him I’ll cast my ballot for the Greens. Just to encourage them.

The US debate


palin.jpg Wow! Does she ever look like Tina Fey. And she sounds exactly like her too, mostly because she drops her Gs in order to sound dumber.

“I’m goin’ to drive the kids down to the hockey game. And try and keep an eye on Russia too.”

Sarah Palin doesn’t know anything, and her opinions are stupid. Same-sex marriage, abortion, creationism — you name it. But she’s a very good actor, and that’s what’s required for success in the US election.

Joe Briden is very old-school. His forehead looks like it has been botoxed, and he has Chiclets for teeth. His eyebrows are alarming.

Imagine if Obama had chosen Hilary Clinton for his VP candidate. That would have been an interesting debate.

The winner: Palin.

The Canadian debate


Harper looked as contemptuous and toad-like as he truly is. What a jerk.

But why do we have four left-wing parties arrayed against one right-wing prime minister? That isn’t going to work.

may.jpg Elizabeth May was the best of the leftists, but she can’t win.

Layton was pretty good, but there is something a bit false and blow-hard about him that will forever keep him from becoming the prime minister. And he needs to lose the mustache.

Duceppe is irrelevant, and Dion is a disaster.

I’m sure you’re tired of me saying I told you so, but what else can I say? The Liberal party betrayed their country by choosing this well-meaning but unelectable person as their leader. I told you so.

The moral victor: Elizabeth May.
The winner: Stephen Harper.
