I was thinking about trees.

The tree next to my house is due to be cut down this fall. It is a magnificent tree, but I can see that it’s doing damage to the foundation of the house next door, so I won’t be chaining myself to it. But I’ll really miss it.

I hope to be on hand to blog its demise. Here are a couple of “before” pictures. Maybe next time I’ll be blogging the stump.

first buds of spring. It was taken on April 23.

This other tree is on the street corner in front of my house, next to Yangtze restaurant. I think it’s giving up a little too soon.

Hey! Get back in green! It’s only August.

<img
