I like to take closeup pictures like this, but sharper. So I’m saving up for a macro lens. I want to take pictures so sharp it cuts your eyes to look at them.

Yes it is. I’ve had macros & loved ‘em. Just know that depth of field and a few of the more, ummm, exotic optical distortions become big issues.
I was thinking of renting one for a weekend. You can rent lenses at Henry’s.
