East block

East block, Parliament of Canada.

What a preposterous building! It’s like a giant startled Victorian pussycat with a funny hat on.

Here’s some more about the East block.

XUP, I don’t see the rainbow. Maybe only public servants can see it ;)

I had a visitor from the Yukon, he was anxious to see Parliament Hill. He was extremely disappointed that there was really no hill visible from Wellington Street. He called it Parliament Bump from then on.

Really? You don’t see a rainbow? It looks like someone did a watercolour wash of the sky of a rainbow arc of colours.Very clear. I’m going to try to send my version to you by email and see if that works

I see it a little bit on my monitor at work. Not colours though, just an arc. I don’t think it’s ‘really’ there… I think it’s a digital artifact.

Or else I’m colour blind, which I did not know!
