Elgin & Sparks

Lots of times I’m surprised to see how similar my daily picture is to the one from a year earlier on the same day. For example, today’s street scene has a similar look to last year’s photo of a sushi shop. It’s always a coincidence; I never look to see what last year’s post was.

I didn’t post a picture yesterday, so here’s another one. This one was taken on the same day as the one from April 25: National Gallery. They were both taken out back of the Parliament buildings. I’ve been going around taking pictures with my wide-angle lens, and then processing to bring out the sky.

This one is of Gatineau. You can see the Museum of Civilization. The lens is a Sigma 10-20 mm on a Nikon D300.

Those spiney things used to be green. I have photos (somewhere) of them painting them black.

The Kyoto Sushi place will be a casualty of the likely redevelopment of Snider Plaza for Standard Life Phase III.
