All summer I followed (and fed) Dickie and Thumby, two injured geese on the shore of the river at Woodroofe. They are now at Wild Bird Care Centre and probably will not fly this fall. I hope to see them in the air eventually, just like this one - so perfectly beautiful.
it’s always nice to be goosed…and I mean that in a very polite way, needless to say. I was going to say…and you do it so well; but I feared misinterpretation.
Pearl, I pointed my camera and snapped when I saw some geese taking off. I wish I’d used a faster shutter speed so the wings wouldn’t be blurry. Thanks for your comment!

Thanks Judy. I don’t know if the blue is really there. It might just be the way the light falls on the tail feathers.
