On Wednesday I slipped getting out of the shower and broke my ankle. Now I’m on crutches and mostly immobile.

Unless I happen to snap something great from off my balcony, or experience a deep thought which cannot go unspoken, this blog is going to be taking a rest.

See you all later!

(I didn’t take that picture. Neither is it me stuck in the ground. I got it here: http://tackyraccoons.com/2013/01/06/accident-prone-man/)

…quitter. From what I’ve seen your balcony has a pretty interesting view. How about taking macro shots of stuff in your home?

Oh I know. As yet I haven’t figured out how to get out there with a camera and a cup of coffee or a beer. But I’ll manage it eventually.

Hope you mend quickly… and that that immobility doesn’t chafe too much while you’re doing it.

Chafes the armpits… I’ll get the knack eventually. I think this blog needed a short break anyway. Thanks for your thoughts :)

That’s me most of the time these days. It’s a hit-or-miss thing.

I am so sorry to hear this! I never met Robin, but I loved his beautiful, interesting and sometimes funny photos, the unique perspective he had on familiar places in Ottawa, and his sense of humour. I used to start my day on the computer almost every morning with his Watawa Life pic of the day and then browse through some of his archived pictures, and even after he switched to Oat City, I would sometimes stop by to see his Peterborough pictures.

My sincere condolences to you on the loss of your brother.
