Martha Wainwright at Bluesfest

I went to Bluesfest twice. I heard Lucinda Williams and Martha Wainwright. Is there a pattern here?*

Martha was great. Not quite as fierce as she sounds on her records, but still very intense. Here are a couple of pictures.

Martha’s mother, Kate McGarrigle, sat in on keyboards for a few songs.

*Well obviously, they both start with W.
