Muffy the wonder cat

Muffy disappeared two Saturdays ago, and then a week later she came crawling into the yard dragging two broken legs behind her.

Based on the amount of muscle growth around the fractures, the vet thinks that whatever happened to her happened early on in her ordeal. It’s possible that she spent the whole week crawling home.

Here she is back from the hospital. She has to wear that blue collar for 10 days so she won’t pull her stitches out.

Her hips and legs are all shaved, but she still has her magnificent tail.

I was hoping that you will put some of her pictures up. Thank you, Robin. She truly is a wonder cat. How is Clint Eastwood taking in all of this?
I was telling Judy today about a childhood book, that left a lasting impression on me. The book is about Russian pilot in second world war, shot down behind enemy lines, who – with broken legs – crawled miles and miles back to the safety. It was loaded with propaganda, but the story is still vivid in my memory and Muffy’s ordeal brought it back.

Wow, what an amazing cat she is…I’m glad she got a happy ending after crawling home all week. It reminds me of Yarn-a-go-go’s cat Digit. Disappeared for four months and came home half dead. He’s alive and well now.
