LOL, this is such a familiar sight for me — I’ve been car-pooling a bunch of people downtown during the strike (they work on the west end of downtown), and this is our meet-up spot. At the end of Preston. It takes the same amount of time for them to walk to the corner as it does for me to drive from my workplace (which isn’t downtown) so we get there at the same time and I can gain a few minutes to try and beat the big rush of cars heading for the ‘burbs.

The pic isn’t HDR, I just try to bring out as much detail as there is in the shadows and highlights. I think it makes it look slightly surreal and I like the effect, especially for street scenes.
