The photographer

I don’t know who this is. He was down at the eternal flame taking pictures. I liked his technique — how focused he was (no pun), and the way he made himself into a tripod with his elbows. I do that a lot since I saw that guy do it.

Would photography would be easier if you didn’t have a nose?

Yup, he’s using a D200. I carry around two cameras too, so as to not get dust on the sensor from changing lenses, but somehow I get dust on the sensor anyway.

Steadying the camera with your body is an old trick from journalism school, comes in very handy. ;)

Hi Nat! I wish I’d gone to journalism school, or at least photography school. But I’m having fun trying to pick it up as I go along.
