Gladstone just east of Bank, at the ‘bus stop’.
Remember buses? They were large vehicles you could pay to get a ride on. They went close to your house so you could get home from work without having to walk. It was brilliant!
Like the yellow house at Gladstone and Arthur, this bike appears to have been spray-painted all over. Tires and all. (But not the seat or the kid seat.)

That place beside the ‘bus stop’ also has good-looking mailboxes and buzzers. Downtown life at its finest.
Mailboxes
I like the one that says CHECK ME.

Buzzers
2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 6… and, uh, 1. I guess.

Here’s a picture of the yellow house. It’s reprinted from this post: Sunflower and cats.

Maybe someday there’ll be buses again and you can go and see the yellow house for yourself. Just hop on the 14, right next to the yellow bike. See you there!

That used to be MY bus stop. I’d catch the #14 at Gladstone and Bank, right near the yellow bike and the mailboxes, and it would take me past the yellow house and all the way home almost.
sigh.
Did you know there’s a facebook group for a petition to have the articulated buses make accordian noises when they go around corners?
That’s a pretty good idea. I heard they were going to get longer articulated buses with two joints instead of one. Then you could have one of them play the oom-pah notes and the other one play the melody.
But it’s all a dream now. Did you hear the bus drivers are planning to picket the world junior hockey tournament at Lansdowne Park? Those guys really don’t care if they have any friends.
Oh, how we must pass each other all the time! Happy Christmas time and a merry New Year to you, Robin!
Thank you so much Woodsy, and the very best to you too.
