The Departed (2006)

More macho posturing from Martin Scorsese, starring the interchangeable Leo DiCaprio and Matt Damon. Also features Jack Nicholson chewing the curtains.

A tale of a couple of dirtball crooks and the shrink that loves them. Unimaginative lead characters who can’t imagine a life outside of Boston gang/cop warfare. Tiresome plot with lots of punchups. Bloody ending I’ve seen a million times since Hamlet.

The buzz is that it will win the Best Picture Oscar. There are plenty of better movies than this. Not recommended.
